I’ve been involved in sport and fitness for more than 30 years. From competing internationally as a GB Taekwondo athlete from the age of 12, to playing roller derby, completing 25 Tough Mudders, multiple OCR events, and even a 56-mile ultra marathon — I’ve always thrived on challenge. Alongside my athletic background, I hold an MSc in Psychology, a BA in Sports Science, a teaching degree, and I’m a Level 4 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist. I’ve also taught biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and personal training at local universities and colleges.
My journey hasn’t always been smooth. After six years of sleep deprivation while caring for our disabled daughter, my health declined and my weight reached over 102kg. Yet even at my biggest size, I climbed Ben Nevis — proving to myself that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. In October 2023, I chose to take control of my health again, rebuilt my fitness, and I’m now training for my first bodybuilding competition.
Now in my late 40s, as a mum of five, grandmother of two, and a woman navigating the menopause, I know first-hand how tough it can be to balance family, life, and wellbeing. That’s why my coaching is built on both science and lived experience: to help people of all ages and stages build strength, resilience, and confidence — and to show that with the right mindset, anything is possible.
